Garden 'Cave'

Most definitely Kabins most challenging project to-date!

Before Kabin started, a builder dug out 50 tons of ground and built a steel reinforced u-shaped retaining wall.

Kabin was asked to construct within the space a bespoke 20m2 'pod' using 'Structurally Insulated Panels'.

Building in such a tight space brought its challenges

Part of the challenge was designing the 'pod' so that the window lined up with the window opening in the retaining wall. The idea behind this was to create a cedar window seat overlooking Aldreley golf course.
